Flood Restoration Services in Central Florida
Flood restoration is for water that came in from outside: a storm, a low slab, a door that could not hold the rain. Lakeland, Plant City, Winter Haven, and Auburndale see that in the wet season.
A burst pipe or a failed heater is a different job. That one starts at water damage restoration or the emergency plumber if it is still running. Call (863) 667-6364.
What does flood restoration cover after a storm?
Pump and extract the standing water. Remove the soft material that cannot be saved. Wash the areas the flood water touched. Then dry the structure with air movers and dehumidifiers until the moisture readings come down.
Storm water on a slab is often dirty. Drying alone does not make the room safe to live in. The wash is part of the job.
What usually gets thrown out?
It depends on how long it sat and how dirty the water was. Carpet padding and some flooring often cannot be kept. Some drywall comes out. Framing and subfloor can often be dried and stay.
We look at each material before it leaves the house. A wet baseboard is not an automatic tear-out.
When did the water come from a pipe instead?
If the rain has stopped and one room is still filling, the source is inside the house. A supply line, a water heater, or an AC condensate line will keep feeding the floor after the storm is over.
That repair and the dry-out are the restoration visit. Mitigation is the same-night extraction if you are calling while the water is still on the floor.
Storm water removal in Lakeland
Storm water removal is pumping what came in through a door, a garage threshold, or a low spot in the slab. Lakeland rain can push water in faster than a household pump moves it back out. We extract that water, then look at what the slab is still holding.
A garage that flooded and stopped when the rain stopped is this job. A garage that keeps filling after the sky is clear has a supply line open. Shut the main. It closes clockwise at the curb meter or the hose bib.
Flood cleanup after the water is gone
Flood cleanup is the wash after the pump. Storm water on a floor has dirt from outside in it. Drying that film into the pad leaves the smell. We wash the areas the water touched, then set air movers.
Carpet padding that sat in that water usually comes out. Framing can often stay if the meter says it is drying. We decide that per material, in the room, not from the truck.

Flood restoration in Plant City and Winter Haven
Plant City, Winter Haven, and Auburndale get the same sequence as Lakeland: pump, wash, dry, read the moisture. Older block houses take water at the base of the wall. Newer slabs take it at the porch and the garage.
If a drain backed up during the storm and sewage came up with the rain, that is sewer backup cleanup on top of the flood work. Say so on the call. The gear is different from a clean rain puddle.
